Handmade Paints
Traditional oil paint is made from natural pigments and special oils. They offer a broader range of colors than those available in pre-made commercial products. Their subtle variations in grain and unpredictable handling qualities enhance texture.
As pictured above, Veronese Green Earth has yet to be duplicated commercially or artificially. Its subtle beauty is one of the reasons I continue to work with these fascinating materials.
