Handmade Paints
Oil paint is made from the raw ingredients of dry pigment and oils. By making my own in the studio, a broader selection of color is available beyond what is pre-made in stores. (Shown here is Veronese Green Earth). One advantage is the palette can be modified for any subject matter, ready to capture distinctive subtleties.
Handcrafted Frames
Artwork framed with "artist made frames" are entirely produced in my shop, and will be labeled in the description. These are "one-off" frames that I design to complement a painting's qualities. The species of wood, the shaping of the molding, the coloring and finishes are all orchestrated to resonate with the work. Classical Italian frames such as the "Cassetta" are an inspiration, and allow for creative variations.
